31 Day Comment Challenge: Becoming a Better Blog Citizen
Posted by curiouschild under Uncategorized | Tags: blogging, personal development, comment08 |Day 12: Make Sure Your Blog Technology is “Comment Friendly”
I think my blog technology is “comment friendly” although I do have one of the pet peeves in place: comment moderation. My reason for commenting is purely selfish but that’s all a part of blogging.
I guess my pet peeve would be the captchas. Sometimes those things are very difficult to read and, quite honestly, they’re annoying. But I think most people have these things in place because they aren’t sure how to disable them or they haven’t taken the time to learn about the different settings on their blogs.

Captchas (besides comment moderation) were at the top of my list of pet peeves. Unfortunately I didn’t feel it was appropriate to rant about them as well because I had already had a grumble about another blogging platform. There are some captcha words that are worse than others. For some reason blogger seems to almost always fail and I have to re enter about 2-3 times. And Typpepad always gets me because it goes to a new screen and I’m already off onto my next tab browsing. Unfortunately in many cases we do need to have the captcha words to reduce spam
